How does the Wii Fit go with the original Wii?

Is the Wii Fit a whole new console or just the balance board? Can I plug the balance board into the Wii? Do I get new games with the Wii Fit? I don’t really understand how it works.

    Basically the Wii Fit Balance Board is just an extra controller like the Guitar Hero controllers. It is wireless so no you can plug it in but yes you can use it with any Wii

    just a balance board. and it is connected through wifi so you don’t have to plug it in. there are some other games you can play with the balance board, but it’s not a whole new console or anything..it’s just the same old wii.

    The wii fit is just a game with a balance board. You do not need to plug anything in. You just put the game disc and use the balance board to complete the execrises that you want to do. Here is a video on youtube showing people using wii fit.

    You need the Wii to use the Wii Fit. IThe Balance Board acts as another controller. There is a disk that comes with Wii Fit and it has body tests as well as excercises, yoga poses and games. You have to put in certain amounts of time to unlock new activities. All of the games are really simple. There are other games that you can buy (like a full snowboarding game) that use the balance board portion of the wii fit package.
